Introduction:

Sonatine (en forme de quatre petites hommages) has been written as an obligatory piece for the Dotzauer-competition for young cellists in Dresden. For that reason it is a short, partly virtuousic composition. The four movements are more or less related to four different composer’s ways of writing, especially to their compositions for string instruments.
