Introduction:

Landscape With Deserted House is a piece of dark, peculiar, almost gothic character. The topic of the „deserted house“ originates from the Victorian literature, but points also to the present, especially in Northern Europe, where half a century of rural depopulation has resulted in many houses and homesteads being abandoned and left to decay. Especially the percussion part, which is almost entirely played on household items and trash instruments, underlines this aspect, while the other instruments create a quirkily poetic soundscape.
